Can anyone recommend a way to watch TV on a Mac

I have seen a few websites that are selling TV Tuners for Mac's, but just wanted to know if anyone could suggest a good one to use.
I just want to be able to watch tv on my mac and maybe record the odd thing to watch on my ipod.
