Windows mail is a program in your computer. if you cannot connect to the internet to receive your mail it is a problem with your internet connection or your PC or your mail provider whoever that may be.. It has no connection whatever with anyone else's Windows mail. If you're using the same computer to post your question as you can't get email on then your internet connection is obviously ok.Ii think therefore your mail server (probably your ISP) will be responsible.

Thankfully you are wrong as my connection came back on last evening without me having to do anything. Many thanks for responding anyway.
