None at all. Your old television had its own analogue tuner, and your video recorder had its own analogue tuner - that is how it was able to record one programme whilst you watched another.
I have a tv with built in freeview connected to a Virgin cable tv box, a digital hard drive recorder and a digital dvd recorder.
No conflict.

That's why quite a lot of us have recorders (especially Hard Disk ones), so that we can watch when we have the time! Lol

PS. We're holding off from Feesat just now until the first Freesat recorders come out - hopefully by October from Humax.
