Forwarding Images

Hi. Can anyone explain to me why I'm now unable to forward any pictures that mates send me? I used to be able to do it, now all they get is a blank square, sometimes with a tiny square in the top left hand corner. It's so annoying! My email is Yahoo, if that's any help. Oddly, I forwarded one this week back to myself, and that was fine! Cheers for any help.

is it the same for everyone you sending the mail to?

I suspect it's nothing your end but a security setting on the computer for the person you are sending the emails to.

in outlook there is a setting to not download pictures, excatly where the setting is changes slightly depending on what version of outlook but in outlook 2003 it's under tools>settings Click "Change Automatic Download Settings..." then uncheck "Don't download pictures or other content automatically in HTML e-mail"

I don't use Outlook. Also, it can't be a security setting on the people I'm sending to, cos as I said I used to be able to do it - also I shouldn't think 10 people all have the same setting enabled! Will check the Tools - Settings in Yahoo and see if something is checked, thanks for trying to help anyway.

The pictures may be getting insterted into the message as a link. This is sometimes done with the source being a website. It makes for a small message as the image is downloaded when the message is opened.

If the link is to a picture on your computer nobody else will be able to see it. However you will be able to see it when forwarded to yourself because the path will be correct.
