Do I need to buy an sd card for my tom tom?

usually they have the maps saved on the SD cards so I would think so.

the device will come with the maps on sd
but it's a good move to backup the maps .... just in case.

no not always mine has it all it and never came with a sd card so just wondered if I really need one. Its a tom tom XL one

Internal memory 1 GB
SD slot (only for additional maps, SD not included)

so the answer is no you don't - sorry for the duff info
