Have you got the free version? I use it and have never had to enter a password The only thing i have to to do is switch on a bit before I actually want to use my computer as it takes a couple of minutes to run thro the update. If you want to get rid of it, go to control panel, then to add or delate programs and highlight AVG click remove that should do it

That would remove your AVG, which I don`t think is your intention. I can`t understand why you have a password with AVG, is it the paid for version?

Can`t find anything to do with a password in AVG, apart from if you`re using a proxy server, is this the case. Are you sure it`s AVG that`s asking for password and not your log on screen?
