How to restore HD TV

My HD TV was working fine until my son hooked up a DVD player to watch a movie. After disconnecting it, I can't receive TV in HD anymore. My husband says he reattached it correctly, but it still doesn't work. Any ideas?

What make and model is it?

My tv has an input mode in the settings accessed with the remote control.

HD has to be selected to get HD tv.

Check your manual.
