microsoft document should have a doc file extension

trying to send a cv and got this message microsoft document should have a doc file extension can any one help me on how to do this

what did you write your CV in, .doc is the default extension for microsoft word so I'm assuming whoever your sending it to will only except CV created in word

Is it Office 2007 which adds .docx rather than .doc ?

If so, go to "Save as" and choose "word .doc" format.

Why not use a free product like "pdf995" and convert it into a pdf file? It only takes seconds.

That way, once it is sent no one can update it or change it, or delete anything from it.

PDf is a much better way of sending out your CV than Word
