mp3 player how do i get my music off it

i have a mp3 player that has two springs in the batteries part and now is broken but will play for about two minuets before it stops so can i get the music off that mp3 back on to my PC because i did not back up all of my music.

If you connect the mp3 to the PC via a usb cable the PC should detect the player as a USB mass storage device. Simply drag the files from the player to a folde in your PC.
