ok, i have an ipod and an itunes "account" on my laptop. mr bednobs wants to get an iphone, but is wonderng if we can use the same itunes acount with both? I.e. if he wants to put his cds onto his iphone can he do it through my itunes and have it so i can still put songs on my ipod through it. To make it more complicated my ipod had hundreds od cds that i put on it through another computer
Is all this possible?

Yes it is.

If you want to share the same music, just plug the iPhone in with your current iTunes library.

If you want a separate library of songs for the iPhone, then create a new user account under windows, and it'll have its own iTunes library.

As for the songs on iPod that aren't on iTunes, you can get them off with yamipod:
http://www.yamipod.com (see the docs for instructions).
