New Mobile Phone 2

My new phone is Sony Ericcson K800i, and what I can't understand is why there is no option that I can see, (on my old phone either), to simply have a plain white screen and black writing.
Do I HAVE to have backgound colours etc?
It would be easier for me to read like a newspaper if everything was simply black and white.
Can it be done?
If so, how?

depending provider of phone you may find a theme that will suit you, go to setting menu and across to display tab and select themes and look through them, if there is not one there that suits you then using the internet option on your phone you may (again depending on provider) be able to download a theme to suit, if not there is a free theme creator for sony phones that enables to to make any theme you like.
