How do I enable Javascript?

I cannot get on this and some other sites such as hotmail using I.E. but it works O.K. with Firefox.
I.E. was working O.K. until yesterday, don't know what happened.
Messages tell me to enable Javascript.
How do I do that?

A quick search in Google for "IE enable javascript" found this site:

Also works in IE7
