You need to connect your turntable to the Line-in of your PC via a pre-amp and record them on to your hard drive. In addition you will need a programme to clean up the resulting sound.

I personally use Terratec's Phono Pre-Amp Studio which incldes the pre - amp and all the necessary software.

Thankyou dodgyshirt I am still learning about computers and not technically minded, how much does the software you have cost please.

As I said, the software was bundled with the pre-amp so I can't tell you that.

However, this question has been asked before on AB some suggestions were made for alternative software.

Do a search for this subject to find them.

Terratec are however, specialist manufacturers of this type of equipment. Mine cost 50 - 60 including the pre-amp and all the necessary software.
