help again on yahoo messaging

I have installed and uninstalled yahoo messaging 4 times each time i install it says this programme is still on this computer but i have done it from control panel anyway when I continue to install I get right to the end and message window is there but when I click sign in it says we are not able to sign you in. Thanks for previous replies but thought I would try and post again a bit clearer.thanks again for any replies I already have a yahoo id i have been using for email and have windows xp

You have probably all ready tried this, but it sounds like you aren't on the internet when you open Yahoo Messenger

thanks for reply. yes i am on internet. i am already on msn messaging and never had any problem there . it is probably something ever so simple but i cant find it .will wait now till my son has a check out on it thanks
