Laptop Lead Problem

The lead to my laptop - Compac Presario CQ60 - has stopped working (worn through, just as it comes out of the little black box that joins the two parts of the lead) so of course my laptop won't charge. It's already down to 72%, and a total nightmare as I have lots of doc, letters, etc that I need access to. Is there any sort of 'work -around' or cheap generic lead that I could buy?

Will check in later, fading fast.....

If you have a Maplins, or maybe a PC World near you, you might find a generic lead that would fit, otherwise I think you are looking like a new lead, which may take 2 working days if you order it now :::::::

Good news is that it isn't expensive.

Amazon.co.uk User Recommendation

You can do click and collect with this product. At a pinch and if you are quick, delivery tomorrow is available.
Bit of heavy Google Foo going on there Goalie. :))

Thanks, all - the one on Amazon looks a good bet. Better get off here before power all gone!

New lead just arrived - £14 through Amazon - and laptop up and running again, and recharging! Thanks again for the responses, and the brilliant links.
