Has anybody had experience of using your smartphone as a credit card (wallet) and if so, any problems and which App did you use?

I use ApplePay on my iPhone without problem apart from the machines are sometimes a little awkwardly placed and because you (on the iPhone) have to use the fingerprint reader to authorise the transaction you do end up holding the phone a little gingerly at one end. Barclaycard then send a notification to me to indicate how much and where so should anyone have spoofed my card I'll get told about it.

Thanks Fitz.....I am wondering if it's worth the bother, as you have your credit card in you pocket, but i do like to keep up if possible;-)
Right...thanks Fitz.
Indeed but the card is in the wallet so that's two things to extract :-) In addition, for me, when I go to the gym I don't take my wallet but do take my phone as it has my fitness apps on it so should I want to purchase something I can. Setting up on the iPhone is a snap, it takes a picture of your card to get the number, name & expiry (the picture isn't stored), you enter the security card from the back and it then contacts your bank to see that you are allowed to set it up.

Sounds good......my phone is Android though, but it should basically be the same.
I use it for debit payments as well, on my android. Lots less bother and I'm convinced it is safer
