Can't Change My Email In Amazon.....

I want to change my email address in Amazon but it won't let me, it'll allow me to change everything else bar email.
I've tried contacting Amazon but without any luck.
My old address was with Orange but they are no longer available, any ideas how to go about it, thanks for any help.

Go to "your account" then "account settings" then "edit email address"

I forgot to say that when I go into 'Login and Security' it keeps asking me to enter a code that they've sent to my old email address, but I can't access the email address to get the code! Thats as far as I get.
Are you able to terminate your existing account with Amazon and then open up a new one with the new details?

This link shows you how and it appear to give you the steps to manage your existing details - so maybe you can change your e-mail address?

You can just edit your email address ^^. If you start a new account, you would lose all the history and details on it, I think.

Flonska, I don't really want to close old account and open a new one because, as Pixie374 has said, I will lose all my old account history, details of past orders etc, I've been a member for about 10 years and have bought loads and loads of stuff from them.
I thought that it would be quite simple but its turning into a bit of a pain!!!
as pix said...go into "your account " not log in /security....I was with orange and have had to change trillions of things..real nuisance ..GGRR

Pixie, I can't get into my account, it keeps saying, that for security purposes I need to enter a code, the problem is, I can't access my old email to get the code, Orange have stopped emails!
Oh, I see- you can't even get that far? Can they text you the code instead of emailing it? Is that an option?

Murraymints, It won't allow me to go any further, it keeps saying that I need to verify my password and it sends me a code to my old email address, which I can't access to get the code.
had a look you can receive code on a phone by text look under advanced security settings if you can get in there

Murray, I assume the 'Advance Security Settings' are in Security and Login, but I cant get past this part, it keeps asking me to enter the code, which I can't access.

Thanks Murray, ive just tried that but again, it asks me to verify account with the code, I can't log in.
I will look for alternative means of contact with Amazon...keep checking back..

It’s an international number, but says "toll free, charges may apply". But their customer service is usually excellent.

I've just spent 5 minutes on the phone to them and have been told that I need to open a new account, and that I can't just change my email address, which seems to me to be ridiculous, I can't understand why they can't ask me security questions on the phone or send the code to my mobile!
It sounded like the lady on the other end was reading from a script and couldn't vere off of it!
