When in Firefox I set my search engine to be Google. However each day I note that it changes to Yahoo without my permission. How can I stop this? There seems to be no way to prevent this that I can see.

Unlikely to be Yahoo I'd have thought.
Have you tried a malware scan ?

I use Advanced System Care and it tells me when the search engine had been changed by Yahoo or Google etc. So they are all at it so it seems. I would be happy just to have Google but the powers that be don't agree.
In Firefox go to Settings/Options/Search

Alter the default search engine to Google and restart Firefox

Thanks SlackAlice, but I have done that a number of times and within a day or so the game between Google and Yahoo strats all over again.
Tried removing Yahoo from Firefox search engines? Same page as before but highlight Yahoo and click 'Remove'

If it still reverts then a scan for Malware would appear to your next option, preferably using Anti Malwarebytes
I know its an old thread but still worth reading.....
