does your desktop have the facility to connect to the internet wirelessly?
There are 2 ways.

You can buy a pair of these

These are only examples - there are lots of variants which may be better for you; search Amazon, or similar.

I've just realised I missed giving my second link

I think it's unusual for desktops to have built-in wifi - none of mine ever had. If you open-up the network centre that should tell you.
Jordy, what make/model computer do you have and what Operating System are you using - Windows 10, 7 something else?
Lots of desktop pcs have wifi built in.
my old ( 2006) apple mac did.
Buy a couple of tp-link plugs £25 from Argos. http://www.argos.co.uk/product/5742734 Plug one in and cable to router. The broadband signal will be transmitted via electric wiring. Plug in the other near pc and connect the 2 via cable. Cables are supplied.Simple and better signal than wireless.
If you don't want to buy TP Link plugs or wi-fi dongles, then just get a longer network cable than the one you already have connected between your BT Hub and your computer when you move it to the bedroom.
