We have been told that the house we are renting is up for sale after only 14 months living here.

We are now moving to a bungalow in the beautiful town of "Hay on Wye" also known as the "town of books" on the Wales/England border. We will be living in England in a Welsh town.

and will most likely have to start paying prescription charges again!

Sorry to hear that R and C . I'd love you both to find a forever home, but if nothing else you're both adaptable :-) will you need change jobs RATTER ?
Love Hay, good luck in your new homex
That's a pity. Moving can be stressful...and expensive! I'm sure you two will be happy wherever you are.

Anne, no change of job, We are moving to the town I work in, currently its a 60 mile round trip everyday. We are both looking forward to the move and with it being a bungalow it will be a lot more manageable for Carakeel.
Sorry Ratter, but most prescriptions in England are free (over 75%)

Nearer work and a bungalow sounds good. Is there good walking/running nearby for the hounds ?
Question Author
Yes Anne, we will be in a very quiet single track road in a quiet area on the outskirts of town. The hounds can run and swim in the nearby river, they will love it.
I hope this can be more permanent this time for you both.
good luck Ratter xx
Hay could soon become a town with slightly fewer books :(

We also have an adjoining paddock which we can use but may also be used for sheep at times.
Chris, I will have to pay for my prescriptions until December this year when I reach 60.
^ get a 'season ticket' Ratter see my link! You can pay by monthly direct debit.
Question Author
Chris, there are so many book shops in Hay on Wye, almost every other shop is a book shop! I'm amazed they can all make a living out of buying and selling books in this day and age.

Would still be a great shame to lose the library.
Do you think its because of your dogs you keep getting moved on?
Hay on Wye looks so beautiful. We want to visit the area in the Summer.
All the best on your move Ratter hope you will be very happy there!
I think it is because Ratter is living in private rented accommodation on short term lets rockyroad.
Sounds perfect, Ratter. I hope the move goes seamlessly.
