any advise on what could be wrong with my chromebook, its slower for some reason

make sure nothing is running in background...do a defrag..Chris will be around later with lots of suggestions

If it has a SSD and not a hard drive, please NEVER do a defrag

Hi Diesel you could try disabling hardware acceleration 

To disable it... type "chrome:settings" in the address bar,
Click Advanced Settings,
Then uncheck "Use hardware acceleration when available" under the System header.
Close all open Chrome browser instances and restart Chrome.

Slower to boot up?
