Good Morning Early Birds

Friday. I'm in Yate at my friend's home. It's lovely to see them again. We had a lovely evening at one of my favourite hostels, the Rose and Crown in Rangeworthy. They, of course, are still snuggled up to Somnus. Herself will be down about eight. I'm sat here with a cat on each shop, I'm getting purred at in stereo.

We're off to Plymouth this morning. I haven't got a clue which hotel we are booked into. It matters not.

I'm fine thanks. I haven't looked out yet, so don't know what the weather is like. It was fine, but cloudy yesterday.

Had a miserable cold windy Monday, weather's been good since.

Offspring #3 drove in today.

A: "Don't need an invite, still have a key".

So he and I will go to the pub for dinner, Mrs Oz went to the big smoke for the weekend. Then I'll fill his wallet so he can stay and catch up with old mates, I'll buy some travelers and toddle home. He's only here for the night, surprise visit.

Very pleasant surprise too.

I forgot to put my wee kindle on charge last night. The battery is on 36% so I might have to leave early.

Me too, I'd rather friends and relatives drop in than organised visits.

Mikey, what a terrible tragedy that was. Hard to think of almost a whole generation of kids wiped out like that.
