hi,
Just last week i had a letter addressed to myself , redirected to my new house (but not correct house no.) from LCS debt company saying Talktalk had referred my case on to them for unpaid monies i owed etc... standard bullying letter. Quick story...........
Last year i was issued a section 21 to say my young daughter and i had to be out of our property in 8 weeks (i had no warning) as the landlord wanted to sell my property (i wasn't in arrears, bad tenant or anything). Subsequently i notified all my suppliers inc talktalk that i was to be made homeless. They told me they'd pause my account for 2 months, but they couldn't just cancel ( i understood ). However in those 8 weeks i was unable to find a home, so i was placed in a women's refuge and officially declared homeless. Again i rang them, they basically said- don't care, still pay. Understandably i was mortified about the position i had found myself in. For 4 months my daughter and i stayed in that refuge. As my mail was being redirected to my mum's (she has a small flat so i couldn't stay there) i received a lot of mail from talktalk, each time i paid them, but they kept adding £10 here and there. In tears i stupidly asked them to help me. I even sent numerous letters pleading with them to take pity (you can see how stupidly low i was!) I rang them from my mobile sooooo many times to discuss my account and was left hanging, so incurred massive phone bills too. I spoke to several people from 'management' who said they'd call me back- they never did. I specified that i worked certain days- but despite being told, they always called back on a day i was working and couldn't talk. Then they just stopped (around the time they were last in the press for hacking). Anyway, now a year on, i fought to get a nice property for my daughter and i with a housing association. My neighbour received a letter from LCS saying i owed them £90 as they'd been directed by talktalk to get the money. I have several issues. firstly they got the wrong address, but i don't want them hounding my neighbour or doing anything to threaten my tenancy. I still have no money whatsoever, and am selling things left right and centre to get spare cash. So should i just pay them and get rid? As i live on my own with my daughter, i'm scared they may come around. Also, do they add money with each letter they send? Many thanks for your responses.

CAB, ASAP.
As far as the address is concerned had you notified TT of your new address? It isn't clear to me who redirected the letter to your neighbour's address rather than yours?

i think it was the post man. They had the right close, just wrong number.
CAB, asap......
That's what I said.
not in lower case, jackdaw - it's called re-emphasising the point.
agree Jackie CAB ASAP

it is obvious that you have accessed the 'usual' services when you were made homeless

it is pretty obvious you acknowledge the debt - and the CAB are especially good at this. Ubasses who used to run one may contribute but it seems pretty straightforward to me ....
