I want to have wifi in other rooms, but signal poor to non-existent.
I know I can get wifi extenders-boosters or whatever they're called, but they see to be plug in to the electricity supply.
Trouble is, the room I want it in is a completely different electrical circuit. Does this matter?

Genuine WiFi extenders work over the airways and so where you power it from doesn't matter.

(I believe you can get gadgets that send the data over the electrical wiring, and these would need to be on the same phase, but it would be for a single dwelling.)
My conservatory is on a separate circuit and used to be a dead spot with little or no wifi signal. As we spend more time in there than any other room in the house I thought I might try some of these ..

We now have the most amazing signal in the conservatory and my tablet and phone are as quick as my desktop which is in another room close to the router.
Why not just buy some from Amazon and you can return them without a problem if they dont work. A very simple installation ... just pressed the button on the router and the button on the BT hotspot and we were up and running. Prior to that I was blaming the router .. Highly recommended.
I use this around farm & stables. It piggybaks on BT wifi modem & faster.
