Mine has died, and (please don't judge me) ;) I want to get exact same one from Ebay. I'm on Virgin, so do I just buy one that says "unlocked" and will I be able to use my SIM card in it, or is there more to it than that?
Thanks,

This one is also refurbished but the seller has excellent feedback http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NOKIA-C3-01-Silver-3G-Unlocked-Touch-Type-5MP-Camera-Phone-New-Condition-/221861882589?hash=item33a7ffaadd:g:Rx4AAOSwT6pV2kuM

I will judge - I think you're very sensible getting the same model. Sorry I can't answer your question tho'.
Yes, just buy an unlocked phone and your sim card will work.

Canary, I just feel that folk think I'm odd for not having a smartphone, but I really don't feel the need for one ;)

hc, thanks so much, clear and concise advice from you as always :)

....I'm back! Why on some of the listings on Ebay does it have Vodafone or Virgin or whatever in brackets?
My only words of warning would be that recently someone on here bought an unlocked mobile which wasn't.
Baths, I don't know how much you want to pay but there is a brand new unlocked one on Amazon

Gavmacp....thanks for warning, but that's a risk we all take when buying unseen

Re your earlier question - Virgin mobile don't actually have their own mobile network, they are a "MVNO" (Mobile Virtual Network Operator) and actually use the network infrastructure of EE (originally it used the network of One2One, then it was swallowed up by T-mobile then merged with Orange to form EE).

I think the seller stating Virgin/Vodafone was mistakenly thinking Virgin (as a MVNO) used the Vodafone network, but it doesn't.
