Thanks Peter, but isn't Windows 10 inevitable?
nothing's inevitable - I am still on Windows 7 and doing fine. Before that I was on XP, so I have missed several (in fact I only seem to update when I get a new PC). Sooner or later they stop supporting old versions but I think XP has only just been abandoned recently
It's the end of July, woodelf

Now jno, that makes one seriously to think - and Ta for the date HC.
I've updated up my machines including my ancient Samsung netbook with no problems at all. Much prefer W10
win10 excellent from first install not one problem and now installed win10 major update and still ok, most guys on here having problems must have issues with their computers to start with, i look after 3 comps for friends installed win 10 on all, not a single problem
I found a lot of apps didn't work, including Store, so I couldn't even reinstall them. There didn't seem to be much difference so I uninstalled it after a few days.
my store works ok

and some of the bits I do need wont work properly
OH installed it, he hated it so restored to an earlier date and got rid. Also my brother installed it and hated it.
