if you post something on a company's website, are they able to remove it or does only the person posting have that ability/power?

They can ask FB to remove it, as can anybody who objects to something posted on their timeline.
They'll have admin in their group that have powers to remove posts.
I run a Facebook page about my local area (it is linked to my own Facebook page).

I can delete appends, hide them, or even ban people totally from the site.

I can also set various acceptable levels for swearing and so on.

I went into the new Birmingham library last week for the first time .
Better inside than it looks from the outside .

What do you think of it ?

( sorry for hijacking your thread iloveher )
no, just admin or authorize have power to do so ....
If they run that page or group then they can do otherwise no one can remove or delete your post :)
You can remove a post you have put on a FB page and the only other person/persons are the those who run the site
