is there a way to stop friends seeing posts or pictures that you share on groups that you've joined, i've joined my old school group which was 200miles from where i now live and don't really want any of my friends seeing what i'm posting to this group as i like to keep certain parts of my life seperate from others.

Don't think so Paul, unless the groups are "private"....that was a big concern of mine...I like to keep my FB life completely separate from my "real" life, so eventually I left any group that wasn't "private".
is the group private? if it is, nothing you post in there will be visible to anyone not in the group?
if you have photos uploaded, you can change the privacy settings for each one. so for example you could set a list up, that only has your friends in the group in then when you upload, you choose this list and only they can see the pics

sorry that sounds more complicated than it is

hopefully this explains it better
...come to think of it,....I haven't noticed any references in my Newsfeed to friends' actions in Groups for ages.....has that stopped now? Hope so.

thank you both, when you both say groups are private do you mean 'closed'?
Yes Paul, that's the same thing.
