Have you spoken to Amazon about them? Did you get a repair, exchange, refund?

Hate to tempt fate, but never had a problem with mine.
My mum's had one for over three years, yet with no problems. Same for most other owners; you've just had bad luck. X
I prefer reading, a Book. I've told both my children never to buy me one as a birthday or Xmas present.
The PM will have experts to advise how the voting form should be worded to avoid having to leave the EU.
Sorry wrong topic.
Me too,chrissa1.I am always getting moaned at for all my books all over the house, but I have tried e-reading and even though I don't shy away from my laptop, smart tv and internet,I cannot take to it.When I told my kids not to ever buy me a Kindle they where amazed cos guess what I was going to get for Christmas that year....yep a Kindle.Instead they all buy me books whenever they see one they think I will like (90% they are spot on) which means little presents for me all over the year and that I will change for nothing!I just use the smartphone app to take advantage of freebies,it seems daft not to,and test out a book before getting the real thing if I'm not too sure.I guess this means technology has its place, its just not as Kindle want it to be lol

Hudls have a good reputation too.
I don't have one....but I think I would take advice on buying one (or not) from the likes of Which?, rather than one hapless owner.
Our kindle languishes somewhere in the house largely unused now as we both use our iPads for Kindle reading.

Never had a problem with the Kindle though and for lightweight transportability I think they are brilliant. Ours is pretty much first generation, perhaps we have been lucky.
