Wifi Router Password

my laptop is connected tot he wifi via a wireless router. I now want to add another device, but can't remember the password - in windows 8.1 is there somewhere i can see what the wifi password is?

Control panel > network and sharing centre. Then click on connections. Then click on wireless properties > security. Then tick the box where it says show characters and your password should appear :)

Have you checked the router to see if there is a sticker on it with the password? Mine is from Virgin & this has a sticker on the back with the factory set password. If you've changed the password then this obviously won't help!
My BT one has a little card in the back with the router name & password in it.

check the back of the router
Checking the back of the router is the easiest option, unless it's hidden amongst loads of wires etc, or the password may have been changed, in which case, follow my instructions.
