When I open my desktop I have this warning label ( with a vivid red cross) saying:

'Windows cannot find C:\Program. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again'

Now I haven't a clue what this means - and I don't particularly want to know. I just want it removed for good, please !

Mozilla Firefox with Windows 7.

Cheers.

You must have something running on startup looking for a corrupt filename.

You could try a malware scan to see if you have something installed that ought not be there.

Check in task manager to see if that gives any clues what might be having an issue.

Thanks, OG. A scan by Malwarebytes seems to have done the job.
