You want to copy to USB, not CD
Question Author
I can't see where it says that anywhere AC. (I think that should be MY name today)!
You need to identify which letter your PC has allocated to the flash drive. Then you know where to copy the picture files to.

I have no idea where there is a button that says "copy to CD". I take it this is part of some program you are running ?

2 hours seems to be a lot of pictures to me, are you sure the programme isn't looking for a CD that isn't there ?
Use Windows Explorer. Find out where the picture files presently are and highlight them. right click and choose 'copy'.

Then use Windows Explorer to go to the flash drive that you have identified. Chose a suitable location/directory/folder on the drive. Right click in it and select 'paste'.
Plug the USB stick into a port.

Open 'My computer' and see what it says about your stick.

Double-click to open that drive.

Open your Photograph folder and then 'drag and drop' the pictures you want across into the USB stick folder.

OG it's taken 2 hours trying to work out how to it!!!

Sorry, I don't understand what you are saying about letter and flash drive. It might as well be in Swahili! I am COMPLETELY computer illiterate!
when you right click on copy, or send to, a menu will present one will be your stick..actual name may show or 'storage device' click on that and they will move to stick

JTH, ok I've done that and this is what's on screen now....

Local disc (c:)
DVD -Rw Drive (d)
U3 system (e:)
Clever stuff (f)
Shared documents
User's documents
Take the USB stick (also called a flash-drive) out of your computer, and see which one disappears........ *that* will be the drive (e or f) which your computer has given to the USB stick.
If you use Windows Explorer (or double click on 'My computer' as jack suggests) then you will see the different drives down the left hand side of the window. You just need to identify the one which presently holds your picture files and explore to find them. And also find the one that represents the flash drive you wish to copy to.

Both will have been allocated a letter to identify it.

It is easier to show someone, but you can explore and play and see what does what.

So what next OG?
Trying to explain in type can sometimes be difficult.
Excuse the expression, but here is an 'Idiots Guide/For Dummies' video:

you need to find wat your stick is called on yur computer....go to my computer and look at devices....pull out stick tht option will disappear..put back in and remember what it came up as....go to photo file right click select copy or move to, and menu will pop up one of them will be whatever your stick is called click on that
Not check Chillies vid, but once you have found the existing pictures files, and the drive that is the flash drive, you can drag them one by one from the existing location to the flash drive using the mouse. Or you can highlight them and right click, select copy, then right click on the flash drive and select paste.

Chilli, mine looks thing like any of that I'm afraid.

MM, when I clicks. "My computer" I don't see DEVICES:-(

Question Author
Sorry, that should read NOTHING like that.
open My Computer and it should show you a list of drives. Then plug in your memory stick and wait for a new drive to appear. That will be the one.
look in control panel...storage devices ?
