I have been informed today of a new update ios8.1.1 for my iPad air. After the problems that I had last week with the ios8.1 I'm not too happy about doing the update. My problem last week was that after doing the update both my mini and air wouldn't stay connected to my WIFI. My computer man fixed it.
I thought that I would wait a week or so before doing this update using the "logic" that if there are any problems they should be ironed out by then.
Am I being silly about this and if so why?

I still haven't updated my iPad to iOS 7 yet using the same logic as you.
iOS 8.1.1 update delivers a collection of bug fixes and according to Apple it will help deliver better performance to the iPad 2 — fixing complaints of lagging and slow devices that surfaced after users upgraded to iOS 8 in September.
