Every single time I look up something on Google.

I type what I am looking for - item comes up - I read it - when I go back instead of going onto another listing on the same topic - it goes back to blank Google and I have to type it again. A bit annoying.

Obviously. If you click on the back arrow it reverts to the previous (blank Google) page.

Well some how or other Blacky - I never noticed this before and I am googling years now.
Question Author
I definitely was always able to get back to another topic.
Same happens here but I press f5 and the page refreshes without retyping.
Actually, I see what you mean now. It should revert to the previous page containing the list of threads. Can't help, I'm afraid, unless it is perhaps you are ho;ding down the back arrow key for too long so that it jumps back 2 pages instead of 1.
Question Author
ok quoi will try that.
Question Author
no matter what I try - still going back to blank google.
Close all pages and start the internet again.
Question Author
Ummmm - it has been going on all this week and maybe last.

I think Methyl's got it! Have just experimented and a single click takes you back one page whilst a double click takes you back two.
that happens to me a lot, and it's very annoying. If you click on the refresh key (or F5) while on the blank page it should bring up your search query page again.
...or as jno says. Either single click or refresh.
it happens even when you single-click, Blackadder, no idea why. But refreshing has always solved it for me.
Question Author
only got back - single click doesn't work either.
Question Author
f5 is good - saves you from typing over and over.

Thanks all

Whilst waiting for your reply to methyl, I am going to suggest that it could well be a Google Search Engine problem. Perhaps another Search Engine would put matters right.

Hans.
Question Author
Methyl and Hans - the f5 will do.

but thanks anyway
