Chrome

I have Avast - free version. I have had a pop up advising that Chrome needs updating - when I click on 'update' it says 'preparing; and then 'error' but no further info. Shouldn't Chrome be updated automatically or how can I update it manually? W7. Many thanks.

Maybe Avast or Chrome needs reinstalling ?

Maybe gung ho of me but I think I'd ignore it. Hope the next update works better.

click the three bar icon in the top right hand corner
click about google chrome
click update if necessary

Ooh goody!! Am so glad I saw this, cos exactly same thing happened to me!
