Assuming that your TV has an HDMI socket, suitable adapters are available. However you need to take care to get the right one because there are TWO types of MHL socket. You'll need either a 5-pin adapter

There are far cheaper versions on eBay and Amazon (search for 'MHL HDMI adapter') but remember to ensure that you get the correct number of pins for your phone.

Look at the socket on the TV and count the pins in it.

The MHL socket is on your phone. (The handbook or a bit of Google searching should tell you how many pins it has). Your TV set simply needs a standard HDMI socket.

You will have a cable with a micro-usb connector that plugs into your phone.....what's at the other end? If it's a standard USB connector, can you connect this directly to your TV, or set-top box? Even then, your TV may not recognise or support video playback from your phone. In which case you will have to upload to a PC/laptop first, and then employ a second stage of getting the video to your TV (eg convert/burn to DVD/Pen drive, Network DLNA)
