Hi

I have a Windows Vista 32 Bit Lap Top & I haveing problems seeing which Internet sites are open at the same time on the bottom of my screen (TASK BAR???) as they always were before

I have to run Task Manager to find out which ones are running at any given time & it's really frustrating!!!!

Can anyone tell me how to get them back?

Any assistance will be appreciated as it's driving me mad!!!!

you haven't accidentally gone to full screen have you? try pressing f11
I'm totally confused as to why you would be looking at the bottom of your screen anyway. If you're using a tabbed browser you should normally be opening separate websites in fresh tabs, which are displayed across the top of your screen.
Maybe the OP was opening a new browser instance for each open website?
That way madness lies, Jeffa ;-)
(It uses far more resources)
I'm confused why Chris would say that, I have open browser tabs at the top of my screen but all open programs (IE, Chrome, Outlook, Freecell. blah blah) are shown as icons at the bottom of my screen in the taskbar.
That makes sense, Prudie, but the question refers to 'internet sites', not to programs.
I see, maybe she means she has hidden the taskbar somehow?

Well, just in case that's what's meant, I'll offer a solution to the problem:

When a Task Bar 'disappears' it usually means that its height has inadvertently been shrunk down to zero. The solution is to place your cursor at the very foot of your screen. It should then change to a double-headed arrow, telling you that it's resting on the top of the Task Bar. You can then simply click-&-drag to pull it up to its normal position. (To prevent it happening again, right-click on the Task Bar and select 'Lock Task Bar').

Click on Start
Go to Help and Support and Click
Type "Taskbar" in the search box and click on the magnifying glass to the right of this search box
Click on "Find the taskbar"

That should do it!
As Windows Vista is widely known to be the shiiiitest version of Windows maybe its time for an upgrade
