Morning all Nice day ,bright and sunny earlier but turned a bit hazy now. It's not exactly heatwave temps either as they say in the papers. That Billy Connolly prog is very good.I enjoyed that. I hope it'll get better at some stage Neti.I'm a bit cheesed off it with all to be honest.

Buenas noches....hope it's going to be phabulous here.
hey all :)
Thanks. I was just looking to find a way to preserve my battery as mine seems to need charging every few days now, so I have just followed this tip (can set it to 15 seconds) and will see what happens. The other things that helps is to disable mobile data until I need to go online

Morning...lol neti, any local moggy will be soggy this morning, it's very wet....but brightening up. Whenever I'm chatting to my sister on the phone her cat sits next to her and meows...I think he's mocking us.

No doubt the donation will be much appreciated shaney, that's a really good cause. You never know where the money's going with some of the big charities.

It's something daring, the Continental

Sorry, bloomin earworm, now you can have it.

Double snap girls.I got home from my jaunt out and felt lousy ,shivery and chilly, then the old joints started to feel hot and my leg was singing me a song.Mr S went and got fish and chips and I've only just moved from the sofa and am shortly moving up the stairs to bed.

Night all.
I have been called in by the mexico for a diabetes test for no reason at all... it will probably go the way of the uncalled-for ECG where they announce I have had a heart attack and the rest of the NHS has to devote time and money to proving that I've had nothing of the sort. They offered me a 1pm appointment, which I agreed to, and then said oh by the way it's a fasting test. So I invited them to move it back to 9.30am and they did. Fourteen hours is quite a long fast.
Morning...it's dull and a rf of 3C but poor Ozzy's had a weather warning for extreme heat, 39C-ish for five days. I couldn't cope with that.

Hope we're all still standing today. Good luck shaney, hope you feel up to it.
Jno, it's probably a new routine for your surgery...they do these things for a while until they realise they can't fund it any longer. We had a well woman scheme where we went and spent considerable time with a nurse....that soon fizzled out. Then there were tetanus jabs whether you needed it or not. I'd like to walk through a head to toe scanner as I go through the door and if there's a problem the alarm could shriek as it does when I leave a supermarket. I'd like it to be known I well may be post menopause but shoplifting was/is not on my list but, as a consultant once told me, it's never too late. They don't make 'em like him any more.
