I have a Lenova G550 laptop and I want to play films on my laptop on my TV but am not sure what cable I should get.
The Lenova G550 does not have a HDMI socket but it has a VGA port, does anyone know the correct cable for doing this?
My TV is a DGM LTV-3289W and has a HDMI connection.
Thanks in advance.

You don't just need a cable; you need a signal converter:

Somewhat cheaper one here:

Does this come with cables to connect the device from laptop to tv.
No. You need an HDMI cable for the output. (About £3 or £4 in many discount stores). You'll also need a VGA-to-VGA lead (a pound or two in discount stores) for the video and a 3.5mm jack to 3.5mm jack lead (from Poundland or similar) for the audio.
Looking at the Specs for the LTV-3289W on the the Digimate web site it indicates that the TV comes with a VGA input and Audio input. If that is the case with your TV, you only need the VGA and Audio cables as per Buenchico's post.
