Problem Transferring Downloads To Ipod

I think Apple have changed their website.Previously all I had to do was connect my iPod and then transfer any new downloads.Now,however,when I connected my iPod it shows the items I have purchased,plus a new one,but I cannot find out how to transfer it.Before,my name would appear showing it to be my iPod,but now it doesn't.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Not sure what you mean. I used mine this week after juggling around with my playlists. As soon as I plugged in the device (iPod touch) it went through the sync automatically and updated

Do you mean iTunes, there was a major update recently and it is much changed, mine offered me a tour the first time I started it. However there is now no sidebar to show you your connected device but at the top right there should be a button for the device (when connected), click that and it should take you to a screen similar to the one which you were used to and you can do your stuff from there.
