I have a download speed of 2.86 Mb/s and an upload speed of 430 Kb/s.

Is this good?

Ours is 40 Mbs download, about 14 upload (not long moved over to fibre optic).

I pay £17 per month and I can download/surf/use the internet as much as I like without any restrictions.

Prior to this I was paying less than a tenner a month, but was restricted to how much I could use it. On the odd occasion I got an email telling me I'd used up most of my allowance for the month. Didn't happen very often though.
