Removing music files from iPhone

When connected to iTunes my iPhone display shows music in list form rather than complete album display. When needing to remove a complete album back to iTunes it's quite a hassle to highlight each tune in turn rather than being able to remove the whole album in one shot. The on screen display shows the required icons but when clicking on them nothing changes from the list form.
Has anyone else experienced this problem and have any ideas ?

Fender. Thank you for taking the trouble to reply to my post but the page you directed me to doesn't answer the question. It explains how to delete single music tracks from your phone not albums from your phone when connected to itunes
