Can the batteries be replaced easily?

Battery replacement is possible although whether it's worth the time and hassle is debatable.

Google 'replace Nano battery'. There are also Youtube vids showing how to do it (depending on what generation Nano you have). You can prob. get a new battery on ebay.

I might ask those nice young men on the mobile phone stand in our shopping centre, or the one on the market.
