I would advise against deleting the unused channels, just ignore them. That way you can retune as often as you like and it will write over them the same every time.

Is this it? http://www.goodmans.c...anuals/GDB12XI2_1.pdf
You'll see that the manual says "Over 50 digital TV channels" and "Up to 24 digital radio stations". I suggest that you do a full retune and then follow the instructions on Page 13 to organise the channels into those that you want and delete the rest. (On my Philips box I have a "Favourites" list, which is the same tihng. I can scroll through my list of saved channels - which now, surprise surprise, don't include the shopping channels or the adult channels.) If you decide at some time in the future that you want these channels it's simply a matter of doing another retune. You'll see that the radio channels are numbered 700 and up. I have "only" got 15 radio channels. I guess that you'll not have many more and I'd be surprised if you exceed the 24 mentioned on the box. Hope this helps. |

The problem I have is that this is the GD11FVZS2 which only has 50 TV Channels. The box only a couple of months old and has the "Digital Tick".
There are well under 50 "normal" Digital TV channels broadcase by Meridian but the provider has decided to broadcast a large number of unwanted channels which I suspect will overflow my channels list and wreck it. Anybody know a way round this problem? |

What I need is to be able to permanently delete the dross to make space for the legitimate channels on a retune.

OK, so it's this one http://www.goodmans.c...nuals/GD11FVZS2_1.pdf
I don't think it matters what it says on the box. If you've tuned it in and got 90 odd channels then the box supports all these channels (plus however many radio channels - as I previously said, iy's unlikely you'll have many more than 15 or 20 of these. You'll not break anything by doing a full factory reset and, in any case, if there are any updates in the future you may well have to do a full retune anyway. I suggest you do the full "First Time Installation" as described on Page 14 of the manual. Then when everything has been loaded up, move the channels you want to "Favourites" as described on Page 10 of the manual. It will work, I promise!! |
