I think I am falling victim of cyber attacks through my ip address. I have a macbook pro on my home wifi network. How do I change the ip address?

every time I use my home wifi next work there is a new user in the terminal who is trying to launch batch files. This only happens on my home wifi.

Have you logged on to your router and changed the password and set it to the most secure settings eg. WPA which is the most secure.

Perhaps the OP means his LAN ip rather than WAN?

If so, go to System Preferences > Network > Choose the network interface you want to change, and select DHCP with Manual Address or Manual to change your IP from the DHCP assigned value.
