laptop display screen

the screen presentation, (picture),
on my laptop has, for some unknown reason,turned
45 degrees to the right. can anyone explain how I can return it to
the correct position?

Pressing Ctrl+Alt+Up arrow usually rotates it 90 degrees, but 45 is a new one. It's normally a feature of the graphics section on the motherboard.
If that doesn't sort it, do a system restore from a date just before this happened. Let us know how you get on.
