Is the trial version of Microsoft Office that comes with new PCs time-limited? If so how long is the trial period?
Thanks in advance for any replies.

Yes.

Errrr, 30days I think.
It depends what version of Office is shipped on the PC.

Many new PCs now come with a product called Microsoft Office Starter which is NOT time limited.

It consists of just two products - Word and Excel, and these are cut down versions of the full products.

You can then buy a license to upgrade this Starter product to another full version of Microsoft Office if you wish.
My advice it to not use those programs. Go to control panel and remove them.
Then you can download "Open Office" which is free,. legit, and does the same as Microsoft office.
Docs, speadsheets, powerpoint etc and it opens all docs from elsewhere.
A no brainer!
