MY PC KEEPS TURNING ITSELF BACK

My pc keeps turning itself back on after a few seconds of shutting down. I have windows 7, and i have searched for a solution, but none work, can i anyone help?

Is it a desktop/tower PC or a Laptop ?

Are you actually slecting 'shut down' or just 'sleep' or 'hibernate'

The most common cause for a machine 'turning back on' is that it has only been slept/hibernated and someone moves the mouse, or touches the keyboard, or even just gives a laptop a bit of a knock ...
