Spam mail

Just had a email (for VIagra of all things and I'm a woman) delivered to my inbox dated 3/9/01!! Obviously it hasn't been lost for ten years and one month can anyone explain how this happens. Thanks nabob

I keep getting emails to my inbox (as opposed to my spam) with 'no sender', 'no content' dated 01/01/1970 (and no way to delete them).
