skype question about unlimited world subscription ?

i have opted to take unlimited world subscription with skype as i call my friend in asia often, i call his mobile phone.

is unlimited world for mobiles and landlines ? if i am not calling a landline ( he doesnt have one ) then i may as well cancel it ?
